No Regrets

Every now and then I receive subtle reminders of why I’m doing this.  Why I’m racing in Louisville next August.  Earlier today a friend of mine sent me an email with the below picture attached.  I’m proud to be a member of Team ReserveAid.

Truly Inspirational

A friend of mine first introduced me to the story of Dick and Rick Hoyt a year ago or so.  Last night I caught an updated story on HBO’s Real Sports of how the father and son team have been doing since they were first interviewed some time back.  If you haven’t heard of these guys then I highly suggest you do a quick Google or YouTube search.  You will not be disappointed.  A truly inspirational story.

Here’s part of the updated HBO story:

Here’s a video that gives more of an inside look of who Dick and Rick Hoyt are:

P is for “Prayer”

I have this picture saved as my wallpaper on my phone.  It’s called the Serenity Prayer.  I also have a magnet on my fridge that recites the same words.  I try to remind myself that there are certain things in life I just can’t control or worry about.  Putting one foot in front of the other IS something I can control.  It may hurt and I may not like it, but I CAN control it.
